Should your dog sleep in your bed at night?  Is it safe to have your dog in your bed?  Well, it depends on who you ask.

The yea-sayers thoughts are due to companionship and safety. Owners who love their dogs in bed rave about how cozy it feels, whether they’re single or a couple.   Stating their pets keep them warm on cold nights. Their dogs also relaxes them, reducing stress and anxiety.  And, the pet parents are off to sleep before they know it, reducing bouts of insomnia.

This arrangement is also a plus for your pet dogs health.  Dogs that bond with owners live longer. Due to the close proximity of their furry friends the owners are instantly made aware of any possible dangers during the night. If you decide to allow your pets in bed with you change your sheets more often, bathe them more than once or twice a week and make sure they have been treated for fleas and ticks.

How to Care for Your Small Dog

Small dogs are the cutest pets in the world. Apart from being your best friend, they are also very easy to care for. If you have any dog breed that falls within the category of small dogs, like the Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terriers. Shi Tzu, Bichon Frise and several other breeds of small dogs, here are some few tips to help you care for them appropriately.

Feeding

The choice of what and how to feed your pet is probably the most important decision to make for your small dogs because the way you feed them would help to determine how healthy they become and how fast they grow. Regardless of their size, small dogs can be very heavy eaters and may eat whatever they lay their paws upon, hence the need to establish a feeding routine for your doggie baby. You shouldn’t load your doggie baby with too much food at once. Instead, you should go with three small meals per day in order to help their digestive system function properly, and eliminate indigestion problems.
